The short version: VendorIQ does not sell your data. We collect only what we need to research your problem and get back to you. Vendors never see who you are until you choose to engage with them.

This policy explains how VendorIQ ("VendorIQ", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use vendor-iq.space. By using the site you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We keep this deliberately minimal.

Information you give us. When you submit the research form, we collect your name, work email, company name, and the description of the business problem you want help with.
Information collected automatically. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics (aggregate page views and traffic sources) and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the site secure and working. We do not use these to build personal advertising profiles.

2. How we use your information

To research the problem you described and prepare an unbiased report and vendor shortlist.
To contact you about your request and your report.
To operate, secure and improve the service.
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your problem description or contact details for unrelated marketing.

3. We do not sell your data

VendorIQ does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. Our model is built the other way around: vendors do not see your identity until you choose to engage with a specific one. Until then, your enquiry stays with us.

4. When we share information

We share information only in these limited cases:

With a vendor you choose. If you decide to engage a vendor from your shortlist, we share the details needed to make that introduction, with your consent.
With service providers that help us run the site (for example hosting and analytics), bound by confidentiality and allowed to use the data only to provide their service.
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of VendorIQ and its users.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use minimal, privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Your browser settings let you block or clear cookies at any time.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see your rights below).

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email viq@vendor-iq.space and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

9. Children

VendorIQ is a service for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be made clear on this page.
